LASIK

(Pre-Operative Instructions)

On the day of your procedure, please be certain to follow these steps listed below to assist us in making your day a comfortable one:

1. Discontinue your soft contact lens 2 weeks prior to your procedure if you are having Standard LASIK or Wavefront.

2. Discontinue any and all vitamin and protein intake for six months after your procedure.

3. On the evening prior to your procedure, take one Xanax 2 hours before your normal bedtime.

4. Take your regular medications the day of the procedure, unless you have been instructed otherwise.

5. Plan to have a driver the day of your procedure.

6. Avoid wearing any jewelry, perfume, colognes, hairspray, gel, and be certain that no residual makeup or mascara is present on the eyes the day of your procedure. Eye area must be cleaned of all make-up and lotions.

7. Bring your medications:
a. Xanax
b. Voltaran c. Re-Fresh Plus Tears - Use one drop in each eye every hour on the hour while awake for the first 30 days. Then 6-8 times a day for the next month. Then 4-6 times a day for the next month.

8. No swimming, eye make-up or tanning beds for 10 days after the procedure.
