Hattiesburg Cataract Procedure

(Post-Operative Care)

 

Always wash your hands before caring for your eye.

 

Sterile Saline and Sterile Sponges: Each morning use one sponge, moisten with saline and clear operated eye.

 

Eye Drops: You will have 2 different bottles of eye drops. Use one drop of Vigamox (tap cap) and Econopred Plus (pink cap) in operated eye 4 times a day until they are used up.

 

Artificial Tears: Use as needed for comfort to keep eye moist.

 

Immediately report any of these symptoms:

- Pain in and around the eye not relieved by Advil or Ibuprofen.

- A sudden or progressive worsening of your vision.

- Increased discomfort, redness or swelling of your eyelids.

- Irregular shape of pupil (it should be perfectly round).
